The voting has begun for the 2026‑27 executive committee of the Dhaka Bar Association. It started at 9am and will continue until 5pm on Wednesday, with a one‑hour break from 1pm to 2pm.

The same schedule will be followed Thursday. A total of 21,731 lawyers are eligible to cast their votes.

Dhaka Bar Association’s Chief Election Commissioner Md Borhan Uddin said results will be announced on Friday after machine counting of members’ votes and manual counting for editorial posts.

Election commission sources said, BNP‑ and Ganodhikar Parishad‑backed lawyers are contesting under the Bangladesh Nationalist Lawyers Unity Panel (Blue Panel), while Jamaat-e-Islami and National Citizen Party (NCP)‑backed lawyers are running under the Lawyers Unity Council (Green Panel).
