Candidates recommended for final selection in the Primary Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025 have staged a sit‑in at Shahbagh in Dhaka, demanding immediate issuance of appointment letters.
The protesters gathered on the road in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh on Sunday morning, disrupting traffic.
As of 2pm, the demonstration was continuing on the road.

The recruitment process has left nearly 14,000 candidates in limbo, amid uncertainty over whether appointment orders will be issued or the results reviewed.
A nationwide written test was held on 9 January across 61 districts. Of the candidates, 69,265 passed and were shortlisted for viva voce.

Final results, published on 8 February, recommended more than 14,000 candidates for appointment, with district‑wise lists released by the Directorate of Primary Education.
