The team first played a friendly against Vietnam on March 26. Vietnam were 78 places ahead in the rankings. Bangladesh lost the match 3-0.
They then faced Singapore on Wednesday in the Asian Cup qualifiers. Bangladesh lost again. The score was 1-0.
These two defeats cost Bangladesh 9.18 ranking points.
The team returned to Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon. The players will now focus on domestic league matches.

Head coach Javier Cabrera has returned to Dhaka. It is not clear when he will go back to Spain. It is also unclear if that will be his final trip.
