Rescue operations resumed for the third consecutive day at the Daulatdia ferry ghat area, but no additional bodies had been recovered as of the latest update.
Dewan Sohel Rana, Deputy Assistant Director of Rajbari Fire Service, confirmed the development to The TIMES of Bangladesh.
He said the operation will continue until the bodies of all missing passengers are recovered.
Fire Service personnel, along with members of the Coast Guard, Navy and other agencies, are carrying out the operation for the third day.
The rescue work resumed at 8am on Friday after being temporarily suspended at around 10pm on Thursday.
A total of 26 bodies have been recovered so far during the three-day rescue operation.
