National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary apologised in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
In his message, Patwary said that in recent days he had engaged in heartfelt conversations with senior friends, political well-wishers, ministers, MPs, and fellow activists.
He added that he had received guidance from all sides to avoid personal attacks, refrain from unnecessary remarks, and focus instead on constructive dialogue.
“I humbly accept those suggestions and will strive to move forward in a calmer and more responsible manner,” Patwary remarked.
He pledged to continue working for political, economic, and cultural progress to the best of his ability, while seeking forgiveness for any unintended grievances caused by his words or actions. “I sincerely seek forgiveness if anyone has been unintentionally hurt. Your prayers, love, and advice are the strength of my journey,” he wrote.
Patwary added that he began this spiritual transition on Tuesday at Takwa Mosque in Dhanmondi. He concluded: “May Allah forgive us all and guide us on the right path.”
