The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunderstorms in five divisions including Dhaka over the 24 hours starting from 9am on Monday.
According to the latest update, showers are expected in one or two areas across Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
The Met office said that a trough of low lies over West Bengal and nearby regions, while a seasonal low over the South Bay extends into the Northeast Bay.
Elsewhere in the country, the weather is likely to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures are expected to stay nearly the same, while nighttime temperatures may drop slightly.
