Dhaka likely to experience rain after spell of heatwave

Rainfall is very likely in Dhaka city on Saturday afternoon according to BBC weather forecast. It will follow a morning of gloomy, low-hanging clouds over the capital. Additionally, the Bangladesh met office has forecasted higher probability for light to moderate rain or thunder showers to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. It is predicted to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country as well.

Rainfall will be accompanied by lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh. The day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. However, a mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Dhaka, Narayanganj, Madaripur, and Kishoregonj and it may abate in some places.

For the next five days, rain is expected to continue.
