Police recovered the body of an unidentified youth from inside a drain in Rajshahi on Sunday morning.
The body was found floating in a drain at the north-western corner of the Central Botanical Garden and Zoo area in Srirampur under Rajpara thana, police said.
Local residents spotted the body in the drain in the morning and alerted the police, officials said.
Police later went to the spot and recovered the body, sending it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination.
Police said the identity of the deceased could not be established immediately and an investigation was underway to identify the body and determine the cause of death.
