BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has visited the party chairperson’s Gulshan office for the first time.
He went to the office at around 12:45pm on Sunday.
BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office was taken to conduct the party’s activities during the 2008 national parliamentary election.
Since then, key party decisions and organisational activities have been coordinated from this office.
Earlier, during the one-eleven emergency in 2007, Tarique Rahman was arrested. After securing bail in 2008, he left for London.
Following BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s imprisonment in 2018, Tarique Rahman assumed the role of acting chairman while staying in London. As a result, he had not been able to visit the Gulshan office until now.
