A passenger bus was set on fire in North Badda of the capital. On Sunday, around 8pm, miscreants set fire to a Mirpur-bound bus of Ashim Paribahan.

Eyewitnesses said the bus was set on fire near AMZ Hospital in North Badda.

Md Shajahan, the duty officer at the Fire Service Control Room, confirmed the incident and said that upon receiving the news, two units of the Fire Service reached the spot and worked to bring the fire under control.

Badda Police Station OC Nasirul Islam said it is not clear who set the bus on fire. Police are heading to the spot.

Earlier, on Friday, around a quarter to eight at night, a moving passenger bus was set on fire in the Goudaraghāt area of Badda.
