Border Security Force (BSF) killed a Bangladeshi named Sobuj Mia, 30, at Patgram border in Lalmonirhat.
He was a resident of Pochabhandar village in Jagatber union of Patgram upazila.
According to local sources, several Bangladeshi citizens entered the zero line near pillar number 864/5 of the main border in Shamshernagar early Thursday morning to bring Indian cattle. At that time, a BSF team from the Indian Chenakata camp, responsible for security on the border, fired several rounds targeting them.
Sobuj was shot and died on the spot. Others fled quickly. Following this firing incident at the border, a flag meeting has been called at the company commander level between the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and the BSF.
