A total of 52 senior officers of Bangladesh Police, including Additional Inspector Generals of Police (Addl IGP), Deputy Inspector Generals (DIG), Additional DIGs, and Superintendents of Police (SP), have been transferred and posted.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued four separate notifications on Monday confirming these changes.
According to the notifications, 12 officers currently serving as Additional IGP have been promoted to the rank of Additional IGPs. Six officers holding the Supernumerary rank have been regularised as DIGs. Additionally, 12 DIGs level officers have been transferred to different departments. In another notification, 14 people with the rank of Superintendent of Police have been transferred and posted.
