A 5.5 magnitude earthquake shook north-eastern Turkey early Friday, according to the country’s disaster management authority.
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said the tremor struck Tokat province at around 3:35am local time (0035 GMT).
Authorities reported no immediate damage following the quake. Officials continue to monitor the situation.
