Ministry of Public Administration has appointed 194 executive magistrates for the 49th BCS (Special) Preliminary Test (MCQ Type), scheduled for 10 October.
All the appointees hold the position of Senior Assistant Secretary, confirmed by a gazette issued on Tuesday night.
The MCQ-based written test will be held simultaneously in 184 venues across Dhaka from 10am to 12pm on 10 October.
A total of 184 executive magistrates will be deployed – one at each exam center to maintain law and order. In addition, 10 executive magistrates will be stationed at the control room of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Secretariat.
The executive magistrates will carry out their duties under Section 5 of the Mobile Court Act, 2009, covering exam centers and adjacent areas.
The appointees have been instructed to attend a briefing seminar at the BPSC Secretariat’s 71 Auditorium on 6 October at 11am.
The gazette further directed them to report to the Secretariat at 4am on the exam day.
