A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Jashore and nearby regions on Saturday afternoon, sending tremors through the area.
The earthquake struck at 2:27pm, with its epicentre located in the Manirampur upazila of Jashore, about 157km southwest of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department’s Seismic Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka, according to a bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
There have been no immediate reports of injuries or property damage.
This follows a previous earthquake, measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale, that affected Sylhet and surrounding areas on 21 September, 2025.
