Two lawmakers of National Citizen Party (NCP) — Abdullah Al Amin and Atik Mujahid — have been named members of the party’s highest policy‑making body, the Political Council.
A press release was issued in this regard on Tuesday.
The release said the inclusion was approved by NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain.
Atik Mujahid is the joint convener and MP for Kurigram‑2, while Abdullah Al Amin is the joint member secretary and MP for Narayanganj‑4. Abdullah Al Amin also heads the party’s disciplinary committee.
With their inclusion, the NCP’s Political Council now has 12 members: Convener Nahid Islam, Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam, Chief Organser (South) Hasnat Abdullah, Spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, Senior Joint Convener Samanta Sharmin, Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adib, Senior Joint Member Secretary Nahida Sarwar Niva, Senior Joint Chief Coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud, Joint Convener Atik Mujahid, and Joint Member Secretary Abdullah Al Amin.
