Police have recovered two bomb-like objects wrapped in red tape from near a closed shop in Meherpur’s Gangni upazila.
Gangni Police Station’s Officer-in-charge (OC) Uttam Kumar Das confirmed the matter on Monday morning.
Two notes featuring the “Joy Bangla” slogan were also recovered from the bomb-like objects, he added.
Locals called the police after discovering the items around 9:30am. Later police recovered the notes and placed the two bomb-like objects into a water-filled bucket before transporting them to the police station.
Police said they are investigating the matter.
