A total of 149 players from 19 countries have registered to participate in the International Tennis Tournament 2025, set to begin at the Rajshahi Tennis Complex on 10 October.
Of the registered participants, 110 are male and 39 are female, organisers confirmed during a preparatory meeting held at the tennis complex on Monday evening.
The meeting was chaired by Khondoker Azim Ahmed, Commissioner of Rajshahi Division, and attended by key officials including Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Muhammad Abu Sufiyan and Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Afia Akhter.
Various aspects of the tournament were discussed in detail, including player accommodation, security arrangements, court renovation, and overall protocol for the event.
Commissioner Azim Ahmed emphasised the importance of the tournament in shaping the image of both Rajshahi and the country as a whole. He called for swift action in forming sub-committees and ensuring all necessary preparations are completed in time for the event.
