Among the changes, two current DCs have been transferred to different districts, while 12 officials holding the rank of Deputy Secretary have been appointed as DCs of 12 districts.
The notification stated that the order, issued in the public interest, would come into effect immediately.
Narail DC Sharmin Akter Jahan has been transferred to Brahmanbaria while Meherpur DC Mohammad Abdul Salam has been moved to Narail.
Besides, Md Abdullah Al Masud, director of the environment department, has been appointed as DC of Jhinaidah; Mohammad Yusuf Ali, zonal settlement officer in Khulna, has been appointed DC of Jamalpur; Lutfun Nahar, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed DC of Meherpur; Mohammad Aslam Molla, chief revenue officer of Dhaka South City Corporation, has been appointed DC of Kishoreganj.
Also, Md Momin Uddin, director of the Nursing and Midwifery Department, has been appointed DC of Jhalokathi; Md Arif uz Zaman, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed DC of Gopalganj; Mohammad Kamal Hossain, deputy secretary of the Finance Division, has been appointed DC of Chuadanga; Kazi Md Sayemuzzaman, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, has been appointed DC of Panchagar. Md Al Mamun Miah, director of the Chief Adviser’s Office, has been appointed DC of Joypurhat; Md Saifur Rahman, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, has been appointed DC of Mymensingh; Nazmun Ara Sultana, deputy director of the Local Government Division in Khagrachhari, has been appointed DC of Manikganj.
Lastly, Md Nazmul Islam Sarkar, director of the Chief Adviser’s Office, has been appointed DC of Chandpur.
