The accident occurred around 9:30am on the Chattogram–Cox’s Bazar Arakan Road near Jalurdighi Para in Patiya Upazila.
The deceased has been identified as Banshi Mohan Das, 50, was a resident of Lohagara upazila.
A team from Patiya Fire Service rescued the injured and took them to Patiya Upazila Health Complex. Six of the injured were later referred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.

Traffic congestion formed along the road following the accident, but normal flow resumed after the three damaged vehicles were removed from the scene.
