Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday morning joined and presided over a meeting on public transport management in the Dhaka Metropolitan area at the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat.
The meeting discussed Dhaka’s public transport management, road safety and measures to address indiscipline in the public transport system.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Robiul Alam, state Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Mir Shahe Alam, state minister for Road Transport and Bridges Habibur Rashid, and Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister ABM Abdus Sattar attended the meeting.
Also present were Local Government Division Secretary Md Shahidul Hasan, Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) Executive Director Mohammad Masiur Rahman, Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary Mohammad Ziaul Haq, and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, among others.
