Miscreants shot a young man to death in Khulna’s Rupsa upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Rashed Bikul, son of Abdul Awal from Daulatpur in Khulna city. Police said Bikul was a member of a local teenage gang.
According to Rupsa police, miscreants fired three shots targeting Bikul, a member of the teenage gang “Ball A Company” (Ashiq Group).
Locals rescued him and took him to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police suspected that rival teenage gang “B Company” (Grenade Babu Group) carried out the attack to establish supremacy in the area.
The body has been sent to the morgue of Khulna Medical College Hospital for autopsy, police said.
