Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury has urged caution regarding those who act outside the party’s ideals.
He also called on leaders and activists at all levels to maintain unity and solidarity.
He made the remarks while paying tribute at the mausoleum of former president Ziaur Rahman in Rangunia, Chattogram, on the occasion of Zia’s death anniversary.
After laying the wreath, leaders, activists and supporters present prayed for the forgiveness of Zia’s soul through special doa and munajat.
In a brief address following the tribute, Amir Khosru said Ziaur Rahman had envisioned a sovereign and modern Bangladesh. He added, “Today, the opportunity has come to build that country.”
Expressing PM Tarique’s resolve to build the nation, he said, “The determination Tarique Rahman has taken to build the country cannot be fulfilled by the government alone. All of us must join hands to build a developed nation.”
He urged everyone to work together in building a prosperous and advanced Bangladesh.
