Walton Hi-Tech Industries has posted an over 19% year-on-year revenue growth to Tk1,451 crore in the July-September period, according to its latest quarterly statements.
With an easing business environment, the home appliance giant’s net profit rose 48% year-on-year to Tk221 crore during the first three months of the current financial year.
Earnings per share rebounded to Tk7.29 for the July–September period, up from Tk4.92 a year ago.
The company attributed the rebound to higher sales revenue and a significant reduction in finance costs.
Walton’s finance costs fell sharply by 66% to less than Tk42 crore from nearly Tk123 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Thanks to the stable foreign exchange rates and the easing interest rates.
Earlier, Walton’s revenue had dropped from Tk 7,996 crore to Tk7,692 crore in the 2024-25 financial year amid a sharp decline in air conditioner sales, resulting in a sharper decline in profits.
Its annual net profit dropped to Tk1,037 crore from Tk1,357 crore.
