US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen is leading a 25-member Bangladeshi business delegation to the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington, DC.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral investment and expand business engagement between the two countries.
According to a statement issued by the US Embassy in Dhaka on Sunday, the delegation is attending the SelectUSA Investment Summit held from 3 May to 6 May in Washington, DC.
The delegation includes 25 Bangladeshi business leaders representing key sectors such as energy, technology, agribusiness, engineering and business services.
US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick is hosting the summit. The event is considered a leading global platform for foreign direct investment (FDI).
It brings together international companies and US economic development organisations to promote investment and job creation.
The statement said this year’s summit coincides with the 250th anniversary celebrations of the United States.
It will highlight how foreign investment continues to support American innovation and economic growth.
The initiative is expected to further strengthen economic relations and expand investment opportunities between Bangladesh and the United States.
