Paltan police recovered the body of an unidentified man from a pavement in the capital’s Shantinagar area on Monday.
The body was found under the Shantinagar flyover bridge at approximately 1pm. Police subsequently sent the deceased to the Dhaka Medical College morgue for an autopsy.
SI Md Mahfuz Akter of Paltan Police Station stated that the man, aged approximately 50, appeared to be a vagrant. “It is suspected that he died of an illness,” said the Mahfuz, adding that the exact cause of death will be confirmed after receiving the autopsy report.
