For the second consecutive year, a student from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has won the prestigious Global Student of the Year Award.
The recognition was announced at the World Public Relations and Communication Awards, an event organised by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
The recipient, Raiyan Morshed Talukder, is an undergraduate student in the Accounting department at the ULAB School of Business and is also pursuing a minor in Media Studies and Journalism.
He was selected for his leadership, creative communication skills, and impactful contributions to the health and wellness sector. This follows the success of ULAB student Anika Hossain, who received the same honour last year.
The Global Alliance World Public Relations and Communication Awards is a highly competitive international platform that recognises excellence in public relations and communication management. This year’s competition included over 89 nominations from 19 countries across 24 categories.
Raiyan noted that his work was inspired by the challenges of malnutrition and poor health he witnessed in his country, leading him to focus on Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being). “My goal was simple—to make people aware and help them lead healthier and stronger lives,” he said.
The formal trophy presentation will take place at the Global Alliance World Public Relations Forum 2026, scheduled for 15–21 November 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria.
