United Kingdom (UK) is set to increase all types of visa fees, alongside a rise in citizenship application fees. UK Home Office has announced that the new fee structure will come into effect from 8 April.
According to the new rates, the fee for a visit visa of up to six months will increase by £8 to £135. For a visit visa of up to two years, the fee will rise by £31 to £506, while the fee for a five-year visit visa will increase by £55 to £903. The 10-year visit visa fee is being raised by £69 to £1,128.
In the case of student visas, the application fee for both the applicant and their dependents will increase by £34 to £558.
Moreover, the visit visa fee for academic purposes, for a minimum of six months and a maximum of 12 months, will increase by £14 to £234. Fees for private medical treatment visas will also increase at the same rate.
For skilled workers (sponsorship) applying from outside the UK, the fee for work up to three years will increase by £50, and for more than three years, it will rise by £99. For skilled health care workers, the application fee for work up to three years will increase by £20, while for more than three years, it will rise by £38. The application fee for seasonal workers is set to increase by £21.
For skilled workers (sponsorship) applying from within the UK, the fee for work up to three years will increase by £58, and for more than three years, it will rise by £114. Additionally, the application fee for extending a visitor visa will increase by £72.
Airport transit visa fees are set to increase by £2.50, while transit visas via land borders will rise by £4.50.
The fee for Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is increasing by £4. Furthermore, the visa fee for entering the United Kingdom for those who have been victims of persecution in their home countries is set to increase by £197.
