Two more customers became millionaires after purchasing Walton refrigerators under the ongoing Walton Digital Campaign Season‑24, the company said in a press statement. Mahmudul Hasan, a businessman from Dakshinkhan, Dhaka, and Afroza Begum, a housewife from Sheikhpara village, Bagatipara upazila, Natore, each received Tk 1 million as part of the nationwide campaign aimed at rewarding loyal customers.
The cheques were handed over during separate ceremonies. On 19 May 2026, actor Amin Khan, Walton Fridge Brand Ambassador, and actress Bidya Sinha Mim, alongside Walton Hi‑Tech Senior Executive Director Muhammad Abdullah-Al-Mamun, presented Hasan with the cheque at Goribe Newaz Walton Plaza in Uttara, Dhaka. Earlier, Afroza Begum received her cheque at Dayarampur Walton Plaza branch in Natore, the statement said.
Also present at the Dhaka event were Walton Plaza Managing Director Mohammad Rayhan, Walton Fridge Chief Business Officer Tahsinul Haque, Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed, and other senior officials of both Walton and the respective outlets.
The campaign, launched on 8 April 2026 ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, registers customer details including name, mobile number, and product bar code digitally after purchasing Walton refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, or BLDC ceiling fans. Customers immediately receive SMS confirmation of rewards such as cash prizes, vouchers, Argentina football jerseys, or other gifts, the press release said.
Hasan purchased a 652-litre refrigerator from the Uttara outlet while Afroza Begum bought a 312-litre unit in Natore. Both received instant notifications confirming their Tk 1 million prizes.
“Local customers’ trust and love for domestic brands have enabled Walton to emerge as the country’s leading technology giant and gain recognition globally through exports to more than 55 countries,” said Abdullah-Al-Mamun in press remarks. “The digital campaign, which has already produced over 50 millionaire customers, shows Walton’s commitment not only to business but also to socio-economic development.”
Expressing her joy at Natore, Afroza Begum said, “I never imagined receiving Tk 1 million from a Walton refrigerator purchase. This is the happiest moment of my life. I thank Walton for fulfilling its promises to customers.”
The season follows earlier winners Suprakash Chakma of Bandarban, Kuddus Hawlader of Bagerhat, and Tahmina Akter of Narsingdi, who became millionaires after purchasing Walton refrigerators and air conditioners, the press statement added.
Walton said the campaign is designed to combine customer rewards with its nationwide marketing drive, particularly ahead of festive periods, ensuring visibility and customer engagement across Bangladesh.
