US President Donald Trump has said Iran must soon choose between reaching a deal with Washington and facing possible military action, reports Times of Israel.
Asked by reporters in the Oval Office how he could reach an agreement with Iranian leaders if he considers them irrational, Trump responded, “Maybe you blow them up.”
Trump said the US now faces a decision over whether to pursue a deal or take further action against Iran.
“We have to make that decision. [Either we] make a deal… but the time has come. It’s going to end very soon,” he said.
Trump’s remarks came as Washington and Tehran remain engaged in efforts to ease tensions, with Qatar mediating between the two sides.
