Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over her passing in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote that he was “deeply saddened” by the loss of one of India’s most iconic and versatile voices, adding that her extraordinary musical journey over decades enriched cultural heritage and touched countless hearts around the world.

Bollywood actor Rajat Bedi reacted with shock, calling it “genuinely a big loss for the industry.”

Music composer Vishal Mishra shared an emotional message, writing, “Bas yaadein reh jaati hain.”

Actor Jr NTR also paid tribute, saying he was deeply saddened by the news. He described Asha Bhosle’s voice as the heartbeat of Indian cinema for decades and said she leaves behind a legacy that will live on for generations.
