Tom Hardy is set to return for another season of MobLand, with multiple reports confirming that the actor is in talks to reprise his role in a potential third season of the Paramount+ crime drama.
According to Variety, Hardy’s return comes after an earlier reported dispute with executive producer Jez Butterworth and production company 101 Studios following the completion of filming for the second season. Production on Season 2 wrapped in March.
Variety reported that Hardy is now expected to return as Harry Da Souza in the potential third season of the Paramount+ series.
The crime drama, created by Ronan Bennett, premiered last spring and quickly became Paramount+’s second most-watched series. Hardy stars as fixer Harry Da Souza, while Pierce Brosnan plays Harrigan family patriarch Conrad and Helen Mirren portrays his wife, Maeve. Paddy Considine appears as their son, Kevin.
Butterworth co-wrote all 10 episodes of the first season alongside Bennett.
During the reported dispute, Mirren emerged as one of Hardy’s strongest supporters. Speaking publicly, including at the Taormina Film Festival, she expressed her willingness to work with the actor again.
Asked whether she would reunite with Hardy, Mirren said she would do so without hesitation. She praised his talent and approach to acting, saying performers achieve their best work in different ways and describing her admiration for him as genuine.
