Theatre troupe Natyakendra’s production Tirthajatri, directed by Tauquir Ahmed, will return to the stage on 14 August.
Written by Humayun Kabir, the play will be staged at 7:30pm on Friday at the Main Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Tirthajatri explores contemporary life, inner conflicts, relationships, dreams and the complex tensions between aspirations and reality.
The play also conveys the message that war can never bring true good, while examining various personal and social crises, desires and the human search for identity.
Through its characters and narrative, the production brings questions about society, relationships and the inevitable struggles of life to the stage.
The contrast between dreams and reality forms the core of the play, portraying the continuous journey of individuals in search of themselves.
The production has been created through the collective efforts of Natyakendra’s artistes and crew.
