Two brothers and their neighbour were killed in a road accident in Bhanga, Faridpur, while travelling from Dhaka to attend the funeral of their sister’s mother-in-law in Kumarkhali, Kushtia.
The victims were identified as Suman, 25, his brother Rimon, 18 and their neighbour Ashiq, 28.
The three died early Sunday when their motorcycle collided with a truck in Bhanga.
Their bodies were buried side by side on Sunday afternoon at the Mohammadpur graveyard in Kumarkhali following the funeral prayer.
Locals said Suman and Rimon set out for Kushtia after learning of their sister’s mother-in-law’s death, travelling on a motorcycle with their neighbour Ashiq.
When they reached Bhanga in Faridpur, the motorcycle crashed into a truck, killing all three on the spot.
After completing legal procedures, the bodies were brought home and laid to rest.
Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Amirul Islam said the victims were from the same village.
