Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Tabith Awal has earned a place in one of FIFA’s most significant committees. He has been appointed as a member of the FIFA Committee on Football Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation, marking another milestone for Bangladesh’s growing presence in global football administration.
The committee focuses on shaping the future of football through technological advancement, innovation, and digital transformation. It is chaired by Thorvaldur Orlygsson of Iceland, with Jorge Giménez of Venezuela serving as the deputy chairman.
Tabith’s inclusion is seen as a recognition of Bangladesh’s increasing engagement with football’s global governance. As a member of this high-level body, he will contribute to discussions and policy recommendations that guide how technology and data are integrated into the sport worldwide.
On the same day, another piece of good news arrived for Bangladeshi football. Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, Chairman of the BFF Women’s Wing and a member of the BFF Executive Committee, has been appointed to the FIFA Youth Girls Competition Committee. This committee oversees the development, structure, and organisation of FIFA’s youth-level girls’ tournaments.
The twin appointments highlight the growing footprint of Bangladesh in international football’s decision-making platforms and reflect FIFA’s confidence in the leadership of BFF officials.
