A fire broke out in the server room at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Sunday night, leading to a halt in immigration procedures for international flights.
The blaze originated on the second floor of the terminal building at approximately 11:35 pm, according to the Sylhet Fire Service control room. Two firefighting units were deployed to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames by 12:05am.
Although the fire was quickly contained, cause of the fire and the full scale of the resulting damage are yet to be established. There were no reports of any casualties during the incident.
