Nazifa Tushi and Shamol Mawla are set to share the screen for the first time in the upcoming film ‘Suraiya’, with production already underway.
Producer Robiul Alam Robi confirmed that shooting has begun. Keeping further details under wraps, he noted that an official announcement will be made soon.
According to sources close to the project, Suraiya marks the first collaboration between the two actors. The film is based on a story by Shibabrata Barman and has already attracted international attention.
The project has been featured in the film market of the Tasvir Film Festival in Seattle and has also been selected for the Busan Film Market in South Korea. It has further received script development support and consultancy from PAS in France.
Suraiya has secured a government grant of Tk75 lakh for the 2023–24 fiscal year.
