Standard Islami Bank will suspend banking operations from 10pm on 20 October to 11:59am on 23 October to upgrade its core banking technology, Bangladesh Bank said on Wednesday.
The central bank’s Supervision Data Management and Analytics Department approved the upgrade of the bank’s Core Banking System (CBS) database servers, application framework and database management system.
The bank will move its CBS Application Framework from version 11g to 12c and its Oracle database management system from version 11g to 19c.
Bangladesh Bank said the upgrade is aimed at improving the bank’s core banking technology infrastructure.
