Dhaka Education Board recorded the highest SSC pass rate at 71.63 per cent, followed by Jashore at 66.27 per cent and Cumilla at 65.42 per cent.
The other boards ranked as Rajshahi (63.67 per cent), Barishal (60.35 per cent), Chattogram (59.48 per cent), Sylhet (58.33 per cent), Dinajpur (58.05 per cent), Mymensingh (57.39 per cent), Technical (58.20 per cent), and Madrasa (55.49 per cent).
This year’s average pass rate dropped to 62.25 per cent, compared to 68.45 per cent in 2025.
The number of GPA‑5 achievers also declined — 116,676 students secured GPA‑5 this year, down from 139,032 last year.
Across the nine general education boards, the average pass rate stood at 64.05 per cent, nearly four percentage points lower than last year’s 68.04 per cent.
According to the Education Ministry data, a total of 1,857,344 students registered for the exams this year — 1,418,398 under the general boards, 304,286 under the Madrasa Board, and 134,660 under the Technical Board (SSC Vocational).
