Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan was taken to hospital for X-ray after sustaining an ankle injury during the third and final T20I at the Bir Shreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram on Friday. Fast bowler Shoriful Islam also suffered a hamstring injury in the same match.
Sohan was stretchered off in the 11th over of the West Indies’ innings, showing visible pain in his left leg. The team physiotherapist attended to him on the field before he was taken for further medical evaluation.
Shoriful, who bowled two overs for 12 runs, will be closely monitored for his hamstring problem. Updates on both players’ conditions are expected on Saturday.
