SMC Enterprise Limited held its 2024-2025 annual sales conference in Cox’s Bazar, recognising the achievements of its sales team and outlining strategic priorities for future growth.
Speakers said SMC has spent five decades improving public health, earning global recognition for its role in reducing population growth and preventing major diarrhoeal outbreaks.
The organisation now produces the world’s largest volume of oral rehydration saline, with more than one-third of users nationwide relying on its products.
SMC Chairman Farooq Ahmed said improving people’s quality of life remains the organisation’s core goal, adding that a strong sales and distribution network is essential to ensure nationwide product access.
Managing Director and CEO Taslim Uddin Khan said transformation has been central to SMC’s 50-year journey, noting that its work has expanded far beyond family planning to a broad range of social development activities.
SMC Enterprise Managing Director Sayef Nasir said embracing change is necessary for sustainable growth and for remaining relevant in a rapidly evolving market.
He said SMC is committed to innovation and to delivering consistent quality at fair prices.
Since becoming SMC’s commercial arm in 2014, SMC Enterprise has helped strengthen financial self-reliance and expand the organisation’s portfolio across rehydration, hygiene, nutrition and contraceptive products.
Senior officials, board members and partners attended the event, which also featured a cultural performance.
