A slow loris locally known as “lajjaboti banor” has been returned to its natural habitat with the assistance of local organisation “Save the Animals of Susang” in Durgapur, Netrokona.
Locals first spotted the animal in a locality of Durgapur. After being informed, members of ‘Save the Animals of Susang’ rushed to the scene and rescued the slow loris.
Following the rescue and initial observation, the animal was released into a safe forest area, allowing it to return to its natural habitat.
Locals emphasised the need for greater public awareness. They urged people to remain calm when wild animals stray into human settlements. They also advised against capturing or harming the animals.
Animal lovers called on everyone to come forward to protect and conserve wildlife.
