Six people were killed and 10 others injured when a passenger bus crashed in Nepal’s Nawalparasi East district on Saturday, police said.
The bus was carrying 18 people and was travelling to Kathmandu from Banke district in western Nepal when the accident occurred, reports Xinhua.
Nine of the injured remain hospitalised, while doctors referred one critically injured passenger to a hospital in Chitwan, said Anil Pandit, spokesperson for the district police.
Pandit said a preliminary investigation suggested that brake failure may have caused the crash. The bus then slammed into a retaining wall.
