Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder Sikandar Raza has climbed to the top of the ICC Men’s ODI All-Rounder Rankings for the first time in his career, following a string of impressive performances against Sri Lanka in Harare.
The 39-year-old veteran delivered two standout batting displays, scoring 92 and an unbeaten 59 across the two-match series. Despite Zimbabwe suffering defeats in both games, Raza’s individual brilliance shone through. He also chipped in with the ball, taking 1 for 48 in the opening ODI from his full quota of ten overs.
Raza’s performances earned him a rating of 302, allowing him to leapfrog Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi, who now occupy second and third places with 296 and 292 points respectively.
This marks Raza’s first time at the summit of the all-rounder rankings, having previously reached a career-high second place in December 2023.
His exploits with the bat also lifted him nine spots to 22nd in the ODI Batting Rankings, just two places shy of his career-best 24th position achieved in June 2023. Additionally, he has moved up one place to 38th in the bowling rankings.
