The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced their 15-member ODI squad on Sunday evening for the three-match series against the Sri Lanka women’s team.
The headline surprise is the return of Sharmin Sultana after seven years. The middle-order batter last played an ODI in 2019. Alongside her, Juairiya Ferdous, who has played seven T20Is, receives her first-ever ODI call-up.
The entire ODI series will be held at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium. The first match is on April 20, followed by the second and third matches on April 22 and April 25 respectively. Sri Lanka are set to arrive in Bangladesh on April 20. All matches will begin at 9:30 AM.
Both teams will then travel to Sylhet on April 26, where the three-match T20I series begins on April 28 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The remaining two T20Is will be held at the same venue on April 30 and May 2. All T20I matches will start at 6:00 PM.
This will be the first time Sri Lanka women have played ODIs on Bangladeshi soil in 15 years, with their last visit coming during the 2011 Women’s World Cup Qualifier.
