Vice Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh Sharif Nafe As-Saber has been appointed the president of Dhaka University International Relations Alumni Association (IRAA).
He is also a foundation life member of the association.
The decision was taken at a special meeting of IRAA Executive Committee held on Saturday at the Officers’ Club in Dhaka, said a press release on Sunday.
As-Saber succeeds Mainul Khan, who previously served as president of the association.
The meeting was chaired by former additional inspector general of police and senior vice-president of IRAA Manzur Kader Khan.
Among those present were IRAA Secretary General Rezaul Karim, Office Secretary Mahibul Ahsan, and other members of the Executive Committee.
IRAA is the alumni body of graduates of the Department of International Relations at the University of Dhaka and works to strengthen professional networking, academic engagement and collaboration among its members.
