NRBC Bank PLC has appointed Md Shaheen Howlader as Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, effective from 24 June.
Before joining NRBC Bank, Howlader served as Deputy Managing Director (Business) at NRB Bank PLC. He has nearly three decades of experience in the banking sector.
He began his banking career as a Probationary Officer at National Bank Limited in October 1995 and later held senior positions at National Bank Limited, Prime Bank PLC, Modhumoti Bank PLC and NRB Bank PLC.
During his career, he has worked in corporate and investment banking, SME banking, retail banking, agent banking, agriculture and rural banking, alternative delivery channels and cards, transaction banking, foreign remittance, special asset management, foreign trade, offshore banking and branch banking.
He has also served in several leadership roles, including Chief Distribution Officer, Chief Business Officer, Head of Business and Head of Branches.
According to the bank, Howlader has participated in local and international training programmes, seminars and workshops on credit risk management, project finance, customer relationship management and SME financing.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Demography from the University of Dhaka and an MBA in Banking and Insurance from the same university.
