Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud on Monday said that the production-oriented social investment model of the Sanjiban Project is becoming a milestone for enhancing self-reliance and socio-economic progress among Ansar members.

He made the remarks while inspecting the project’s progress at Chandupara in Patuakhali, where he met 64 entrepreneurs from two platoons and instructed officials to ensure transparency and expedite implementation, according to a press release.

Arriving at the project site at 9am, the DG held discussions with members of Social Security Team–1 (Kalapara, Patuakhali) and Social Security Team–2 (Betagi, Barguna) about their business plans, opportunities, and operational strategies.

“The Sanjiban Project engages Ansar members in productive activities that help meet basic needs and support sustainable self-reliance,” he said. “With financial support from Sanjiban, the Ansar Welfare Trust, and the Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank, the initiative promotes small, platoon-based enterprises across agricultural and non-agricultural sectors, contributing to livelihood improvement and socio-economic advancement of disadvantaged groups.”
