Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain inaugurated a nationwide mosquito control and cleanliness drive from Manikganj.
He conducted a sudden inspection of the Singair Upazila Health Complex and 50-bed hospital on Saturday morning. During the visit, he participated in the nationwide campaign launched to prevent dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases.
Sakhawat enquired about the well-being of the patients, verified the quality and quantity of food provided, and checked the attendance of doctors and staff. However, he expressed dissatisfaction as the Upazila Health and Family Welfare Officer and two other doctors were not present in the office on time.
He stated that such sudden inspections will continue regularly in government health centres.
