Fifteen members have been elected unopposed to the new board of the DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA).
Brac EPL Stock Brokerage Director Saiful Islam has been re-elected as the president of DBA.
Prime Bank Securities Managing Director and CEO Md Moniruzzaman has been elected senior vice president, while Dhaka Bank Securities Managing Director Md Nafeez-Al-Tarik has been elected vice president.
The newly elected directors are AB & Co Managing Director Md Rafiuzzaman Bokhari, SCL Securities Managing Director Barrister Mohammad Iftekhar Jonaed, R N Trading Managing Director Md Nadim, Azam Securities
Managing Director Ahmed Kabir Majumder, New Era Securities Managing Director R Y Shamsher, One Securities CEO Aminul Islam, GMF Securities Managing Director Al-Haja Nahid Ahmed, Kaiyum Securities Managing Director Nayeem Md Quayum, Vision Capital Management Managing Director Mohammad Ibrahim, Expo Traders Managing Director Osman Goni Chowdhury, Phoenix Securities Managing Director Khondoker Shafiqur Rahim and SAR Securities Managing Director Sharif Ataur Rahman.
The election schedule was announced on 28 August, setting 19 October as the last date for nomination submission.
A total of 15 candidates submitted nominations — one each for president, senior vice president and vice president, and 12 for director posts.
After scrutiny, the election board declared all 15 candidates valid on 1 November. As none withdrew their candidacy by the final withdrawal date of 3 November, and since the number of valid candidates matched the number of positions, the board declared them elected unopposed under the Trade Organisation Regulations 2025.
The elected members will officially assume office at DBA’s upcoming annual general meeting.
